St. Alphonsus Catholic School aims to provide a living Christian community that is supported by teachers, parents, and clergy. This team working together provides a broad and competitive curriculum that challenges students both academically and spiritually while encouraging self-discipline and service to God and community.

It is our hope that our students and families feel the community offered at St. Alphonsus and that parents see their children develop strong moral character and the skills necessary for success in higher education and in life. We are thankful for every one of our “St. Al’s” families and those that have shared their thoughts on their experiences at our School below.

“Choosing St. Al’s was one of the first decisions we made for our family when we found out we were moving to Mississippi. It was important to us to find a place that had history within the community, would challenge our son academically, encouraged different types of learning and expression, and was centered in faith. We believe we have found all of that and more at St. Al’s. The teachers and staff were welcoming to our family and supported us. We look forward to watching our son continue to grow and thrive in his new school.”

“I like that Murph’s education is centered around Jesus. St. Al’s reinforced the love for Christ that I am trying to teach him.

Murph is shy, so school has helped him to open up. The teachers created a safe, caring environment where he is flourishing. He has become an early reader. He knows simple math. And he plays the piano!! All before entering Kindergarten!
