Fall Pictures – 08.21.19 & 08.22.19

Picture Day is broken up into two days (August 21st and 22nd) at St. Alphonsus to allow our talented photographer more time with your child to capture that natural smile. Wednesday, August 21st, all grades will have their class photos taken. Individual pictures for PreK-3, PreK-4, Kinder, and 1st grade will also be on Wednesday. On Thursday, August 22nd, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th grade will have their individual photos taken.

Grades Kinder through 6 wear their uniforms for their class and individual photos. Photos are used in the school yearbook and are also available for purchase. Class pictures can be ordered online in the Saints Store. Cornerstone Photography will send proofs and ordering options for individual photos to parents via email. Photos will be taken following the tardy bell, so please have your child to school on time.

Some things to think about:
– Grades Kinder through 6th will wear their uniforms. Preschoolers are welcome to have your help in picking out clothes and colors that look good on them. After all, your child is the star of the photo—not their shirt, so avoid slogans, logos, and big patterns. Some poses may show pants or skirts, so plan the complete outfit.
– Glasses are okay!
– Any hairstyle works for Picture Day. Schedule haircuts ahead of time to allow hair to grow back a little, or you can go for a fresh-cut look.
– Keep kids relaxed and ready to be themselves. Smiles can look fake if they’re practiced ahead of time. Remember, smiles are like french fries—they’re better when they’re fresh.
– Don’t worry about “perfect”! That hair that always sticks up or a missing tooth shows your child just as they are right now—and you’ll enjoy looking back on that for years to come. On Picture Day, teachers and volunteers will help straighten collars and check posture.
